The Praxis Project is excited to announce our 2022 Roots & Remedies week of Pleasure in Praxis. Roots & Remedies 2022

Pleasure in praxis

July 11-15, 2022

Having started in 2008, Roots and Remedies continues to be a space to celebrate the incredible community organizers across the country working to improve health, justice, and racial equity. For this year, From love and liberation rooted in community to Pleasure in Praxis, our third virtual convening in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we invite our communities to gather and explore what it means to unapologetically center rest, joy, play and healing in their work. By expanding our convening to occur over five days, we'll offer spaces each day to ignite care and connection by centering the practice of pleasure.

At this virtual convening, we're bringing together community organizers from across the nation to explore what it means to unapologetically center rest, joy, play and healing. We'll cook together, dance, deepen relationship, learn how to improve our sleep and rest, and explore where pleasure lives in our lives - reminding us of the joy that exists within our activism and our bodies every single day.

Program

As we continue to show up for our communities and each other, we recognize the important role of joy, play, and pleasure. Pleasure can help us heal from acts of oppression and marginalization, and is ultimately necessary for our collective liberation. This is why our theme for our week-long 2022 Roots & Remedies is Pleasure in Praxis. We hope you join us. Each day offers space for you to practice pleasure and self-love!
