The Community Justice Exchange and The Praxis Project invite you to the virtual premiere of Getting Free from the Cage Within: Exploring the Intersection of Radical Healing, Abolition and Popular Education, a short animated video that offers a framework denouncing the colonial and white supremacist roots of our current carceral “democracy” and its painful traumatizing impact in our communities while calling us to commit to processes for radical healing centered in dignity and community.
The video is offered as a tool to provoke dialogue and action among individuals, communities, and organizations working to abolish the current corrupt system and to promote our right to heal and be free.
After the video presentation, CJE will host a panel discussion—featuring Pancho Argüelles, senior director for network and power building for The Praxis Project—sharing experiences and identifying challenges and opportunities in our current times for our work for radical healing, abolition, and popular education.

El Community Justice Exchange y el Proyecto Praxis le invitan a la premier virtual de Libres de la Jaula Interna: Explorando la Intersección de Sanación Radical, Abolición y Educación Popular, un video corto de animación que ofrece un enfoque denunciando las raíces coloniales y supremacistas blancas de nuestra “democracia” carceral y su traumatizante y doloroso impacto en nuestras comunidades al mismo tiempo que nos llama a comprometernos a un proceso de sanación radical centrado en la dignidad y la comunidad.
