Overview of WENC: The Black Health Coalition of Wisconsin, Inc. (BHC) is the lead agency for the Wisconsin Ethnic Network Collaborative (WENC). WENC is comprised of four community based advocacy organizations of color. In 2001, WENC developed statewide ethnic networks designed to address tobacco control issues in their respective communities. WENC currently receives funding from the Wisconsin Tobacco Control Board. The four agencies that comprise WENC are as follows 1) the Black Health Coalition of Wisconsin, Inc., 2) the United Migrant Opportunities Service, Inc., 3) the Wisconsin United Coalition of Mutual Assistance Associations, Inc., and 4) the Great Lakes lntertribal Council, Inc. These four organizations represent African American, Hispanic/Latino, Southeast Asian, and American Indian communities.
