Collection Scope

Collection emphasis is given to topics related to social and health justice and Praxis’ programmatic activity including public policy, advocacy, organizing, coalition building, media, evaluation, popular education, culture, race and racism, budgets and taxation, campaign issues, as well as relevant key health issues such as tobacco, alcohol, poverty, among others. The IRC strives to collect materials that are authoritative, accurate, and timely.

 

Collection Format

The IRC contains a wide variety of print and electronic materials including, but not limited to books, periodicals, published and unpublished reports, technical reports, research papers, model policies, curriculums, statistical information, conference proceedings, directories, newspaper and journal articles, CD-ROMs, videos and other literature. The collection contains materials in all formats with the exception of those formats which the IRC cannot support, including microfilm, microfiche, DVD, etc.
