

Frank J. Omowale Satterwhite is a management and community development specialist who completed an undergraduate degree at Howard University, a Master's Degree at Southern Illinois University and a doctoral degree at Stanford University. He is the founding President of the National Community Development Institute (NCDI), which was established in 2001. NCDI's mission is to provide customized capacity-building services to promote community-building and social transformation in diverse, low-income communities.
During the past twenty years, Omowale has provided technical assistance to over 1,000 organizations in thirty-three states. In a typical year, he assists more than 100 social justice, health/human service and community development organizations across the country. He works with comprehensive community initiatives, with diverse social change organizations and with other management service organizations that have justice as their cause.
