

Professor Vernellia R. Randall teaches health care law, race and racism in American law and gender and the law at the University of Dayton School of Law. She is also the director of the school's academic support program - Academic Excellence Program. Professor Randall has a bachelor of nursing degree from the University of Texas at Austin; a master of nursing from the University of Washington and a J.D. from Lewis and Clark College. She has published numerous legal articles, including "Racist Health Care: Reforming an Unjust System to Meet the Needs of African Americans."
In addition, Professor Randall is the Editor and Webmistress for three award-winning academic websites:
She has received numerous awards and honors, including selection for Marquis' Who's Who in the World; Chairman's Award, Ohio Commission on Minority Health; Commendation from the Ohio House of Representatives; and Who's Who in American Nursing.
Professor Randall has a forthcoming book: Dying While Black: Using Reparation to Eliminate the Slave Health Deficit.
