Born and raised a Yankee, Noeleen lived in the South for a few years, and then spent a calibrating eight year "stint" in Kansas where she earned her degree in Communications. There, she spent the first six years of her career as an Area Director for Young Life, an outreach ministry to un-churched and de-churched high school students, managing staff, volunteers, and board members, and building relationships with young people.
Ultimately, a desire to live and work in an urban setting on issues of peace, justice and community building drew her to Washington, DC where Noeleen joined Sojourners. She served as the Associate Director of Major Gifts for two years where she shared the responsibility of raising nearly one million dollars annually alongside another team member. As a result of her time within a local community and a national social change organization, Noeleen ultimately wanted to join an organization that bridges the gap between community justice and policymaking. She also sought to hone new skills in an operations role where she could support and develop more streamlined infrastructure. Serving as the Administrative Manager at The Praxis Project affords Noeleen new opportunities and challenges on a regular basis, and she is grateful to contribute to an incredible mission, serving alongside brilliance, passion, and integrity.
